UPDATE: turns out, it was a hardware problem. However, per the following article (scroll up after clicking the below), my hardware is dying at an alarming rate. Maybe it’s the work I am doing, maybe it’s something else? And, this is not to unhighlight the inferred problem that we have - that local ai is not truly open source, that local ai is not benevolent, that removing the black box from the equation is essential.
