This week my 16GB DDR4 memory stick bit the dust. Maybe it’s the work I’m doing in analog, maybe it’s something else. Sure is strange how much hardware I’ve been blowing through, being a tech and all, just taking good notes. My flagship injured reserve bench is now running on empty, hopefully budget opens up again soon before I’m hardware-locked to Commadore 64 ancient! Which wouldn’t entirely be a bad thing, since did you know? Hardware used to be more analog. Why did we abandon this gold standard of compute quality for snappier digital but slower as pertains to analog-is-better operations?
