Older paints were not all bad. The ones made with lead, not so much. But some old fashioned paints are better for health than the modern. The modern paint is not so great.
And the colors really pop with that old milk.
I’ve painted quite a bit over the years. Can’t say I like the feeling of the sore throat being reflected in hindsight as a good thing. When did we fall so far off?
You might notice by now a theme around here. I’m a big history buff. My specialty as relates to history is the history of war, a club or website, my first when I was a boy. And the history of inventions which fell from the modern but should not have.
Paint is not a passion of mine. But it is something I’ve been forced to work into my routine.
They should really ban modern paint-in favor of older more proven technique.
I hear adobe as well as clay is much better, too.
Chuck it on top of the list of grievances I have with the modern way of doing things no thanks to the unlawful permit. The revisionists will tell you that our ancestors were a primitive people. That’s revisionism, for you.
