As you should well have read over here in which I ran a thought experiment on the difference between a well-managed nuclear waste program and the unmanageable fracking industry, if choosing between a rock and a hard place, choose nuclear. We do still need something even better - hydrogen, methane, fuels which are sustainable and do not leave ANY KIND of footprint before, during, nor after their consumption. Steam is the answer, cold steam is the answer, but what will propel this steam?

Don’t knock on firewood. Dead wood in the woods is the most sustainable resource of all time, we will always have too much of it, and managing it also happens to manage the forest fire industry, nipping in the butt that collective unconsciousness while we were at it.
