Iceland, not unlike Hawaii, is of significant military importance. A small population is easier to control. There’s a giant BTC mine there too, what’s that about? Silly multinationals, what’s their game always seem to be?
And it just so happens to be gorgeous. Will the developers swoop in there too? That’s an aside…, or was it vertical integration?
The locals don’t really seem to like foreign holders of their properties given the history of the island and those pesky multinationals.
