You know, just because you commit fraud by proxy, it doesn’t mean you do not commit fraud. I had written prior about my eBay account being closed several years ago when not one but two expensive Chinese Powerjack inverters up and failed on me with the American equivalent three Genetry Solar inverters that I have still running strong to this day. Well, I’m very tempted to invoke my right of free speech again and let the chips fall where they may.
Many people depend upon eBay for revenue in these strange times. In fear of losing their accounts, it’s only correct that many thousands and probably millions of people are afraid to speak out.
Fast forward to today, a couple of weeks ago, and The PayPal Mafia is at it again (thanks Elon). (You do know that every time I mention Elon I am referring to Elon the puppet, and not Elon the man? It would be to err to assume that one front man did all of these things!)
I ordered a new used phone. The phone was guaranteed to have 85% battery health. When it arrived, the phone had 73% health which we can prove empirically in settings. Now, the entire reason I had purchased this phone, being a whistleblower, was to ensure that my phone could hold a charge throughout the day. It can’t.
So I go to complain. Duder basically says he’s not doing anything for me and that I can return it if I want to. I show him a comparable phone and proclaim basically that I simply do not have time to make a return as I needed this phone yesterday. So I offer to pay him what amounts to the comparable so I can put this money into the risky, and time consuming, and hull-integrity compromising Riga moral key word immmoral process of getting a new battery and screen.
Absolute no, his response, basically. And he seems like he’s pretty accustomed to being protected by the big bad wolf known as the PayPal Mafia, whom I have written about prior having censored my computer company financially for years and digitally bullied me in so many ways to accompany all told if you include the many acts of digital tyranny parlayed by the various members of the PayPal Mafia.
Before I was tagged, that’s the word I use to describe somebody that ‘the club’ doesn’t like, I used to earn a decent living selling a healthy myriad of computers to loyal customers all across the country.
But around the time I debuted the ‘10 year warranty’ at an expensive booth at Pax which at the time was making people gasp in industry, but has since become industry standard, I become as tagged.
That’s probably the earliest clue I had that there was trouble ahead, although I don’t think anyone, including my perpetrators, could have known just how much the string would unravel, nor the cookie would crumble, all told many years later where I sit right now, today, in the present day.
You see, Elon and friends, and me, go way back. We go back, by my opinion, to around the time of that PAX booth back when we were relocated from our carefully selected booth which was decided to be an eye sore by none other than the League of Legends booth and we were quietly relocated to a much more quiet corner next the eVGA, and across from the team that had developed the primitive for ARC: Survival Evolved. Back then it was just called Primal Carnage.
On day two we had made friends and thanks to the overall charisma of my team, in spite of a portion of them betraying me and abandoning the project by and large in kind for free plane tickets paid in cash, their admittedly meager pay, and friendship, wasn’t sufficient to provide the attendance I thought we had agreed on and what was left of my loyal friend, singular, and my girlfriend at the time were now stretched thin. Needless to say, I was feeling very stressed, and we three were feeling very overworked with little time to smell the roses and enjoy the carnival atmosphere surrounding us.
In spite, we struck a deal with Primal Carnage, and with them eVGA, that we would let them use our computers, and our booths, to display their game, with hardware as sponsored by StealthMachines.
Since writing my review, many others have also complained, I guess I was right, but due to kangaroo court, what recourse do I really have?
